I specialise in the non-operative and operative management of conditions affecting the spine. Surgical procedures include discectomy, laminectomy and fusion. My interests are in minimally invasive surgery, motion preserving surgery, deformity correction, spine tumours, revision surgery and acute disorders of the spine.

I work with The Back Institute - Integrated Rehabilitation Professionals. This ensures you will receive a complete rehabilitation package tailored to your needs.

About

I completed my Orthopaedic training in 2010. My fellowship spine training was undertaken at Waikato Hospital and Brisbane, at the Princess Alexandra, Brisbane Private and Mater Children’s Hospitals. I am fortunate to have been taught by leaders in the field of spine surgery at the AO Spine Reference Centre in Brisbane. This involved surgical procedures to help adults and children with trauma, tumour, infective, deformity and degenerative conditions of the spine.

Since joining the Waikato Hospital Orthopaedic Department in 2012 I have enjoyed providing a tertiary level spine service to the central North Island. I focus my practice on spine conditions, which enables me to provide care of the highest standard for complex disorders.

I am committed to provide an expert spinal service for privately and ACC funded patients in the Waikato region. Surgery is performed at Southern Cross and Braemar hospitals in Hamilton.
